Grand Prairie Shooting Leaves 1 Dead

One person is dead in Grand Prairie after police say a witness heard gun shots fired in the parking lot of the Williamsburg Apartments located near the 2400 block of South Carrier Parkway. [[352944841,R]]

Police say they responded to the call at about 10:25 p.m. Saturday where the caller said that there was a male who had been shot inside a car.

Witnesses say that a White Sedan had sped off from the apartment complex after the gun shots rang out.

The victim was rushed to Dallas Methodist where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the victim and cause of death has not been released yet.

Grand Prairie police ask that if anyone has information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 972-988-TIPS (8477). People who call have the option to remain anonymous and can be eligible for a reward up to $1000.

Police say this is the third Homicide in Grand Prairie, this year.
