Grand Prairie's newest fire station is now open.
Station 10 on South Grand Peninsula Drive near Joe Pool Lake includes four drive-through bays, eight dorm rooms and offices. It also has a safe room where firefighters can take shelter in a storm.
An anchor on the front lawn of the station is from the U.S.S. Fort Fisher, which was decommissioned in 1998.
The grand opening ceremony took place Wednesday at 11 a.m.
