Granbury Woman Arrested After Fatal Euless Crash

Euless police say a Hurst man is dead and a Granbury woman is in jail after a fatal crash early Sunday morning.

Police said 20-year-old Brandon Bennett, of Hurst, was on his way to National Guard duty in Lewisville just after 5 a.m. when his car was hit at the intersection of Westpark Way and West Pipeline Road.

Police said 29-year-old Beth Branum, of Granbury, was driving eastbound on W. Pipeline Road when her silver Dodge hit Bennett's gold Honda.

Bennett was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford where he died from his injuries.

Branum was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth for minor injuries.

Police said she was released from the hospital and taken into custody on intoxication manslaughter charges. She's being held on $15,000 bond.
