Granbury's City Beach Park reopened Saturday after a short closure following two drownings in recent weeks.
The park closed Thursday so the city of Granbury could make safety improvements. The city installed buoys, provided by the Brazos River Authority, to mark depths of 5 1/2 to 6 feet.
Granbury will also put more resources into enforcing safety rules, placing additional police officers at the park.
The city said it is still developing a plan for crowd capacity at City Beach Park and will continue to research further safety improvements.
