GOP Candidate Wins by 20 Votes

No word if challenger will call for a recount.

Republicans will retain a slim two vote majority in the state house of representatives after counting the final votes in the district 105 race in Irving.

The Dallas County Provisional Ballot Board accepted 61 of 231 provisional ballots, and when the final results were announced at 9:45pm Monday night, the Republican incumbent, Linda Harper-BrownN won reelection by a margin of just 20 votes.

There is no word yet from her Democratic opponent, Bob Romano, but he is expected to ask for a recount.

If Romano had won, both Democrats and Republicans would have had an equal number of seats in the House of Representatives when the Texas State Legislature meets in January.
