George Strait Farewell Tour Tickets on Sale Next Month

Tickets go on sale Dec. 6

Tickets for George Strait's final tour go on sale early next month.

If you want to catch the King of Country's final show, which will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on June 7, 2014, you'll get your first crack at tickets at 10 a.m. Dec. 6.

The 100,000-seat venue will play host to Strait, of course, but also a number of other country music superstars who will accompany the legendary singer on his farewell tour, dubbed the lengthy "Quicken Loans Presents George Strait’s The Cowboy Rides Away Tour 2014."

Strait, who earlier this month was named CMA's Entertainer of the Year, announced the tour in September from AT&T Stadium alongside Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Guest artists who'll play three songs each at each show are Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Ronnie Dunn, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Lee Ann Womack.

"Fittingly, the opening act for Strait’s final concert will be the “Kings of Texas Swing” and six-time Grammy Award-winning group, Asleep At The Wheel," according to a news release from the promoter.

Though he is retiring from the road, somewhat, Strait isn't leaving music behind. He'll still record new music for his longtime lable MCA Records and will perform at select dates after the tour has wrapped.

Tickets can be purchased online at Strait's official website, georgestrait.com.
