A Garland road is back open after a gas leak forced workers to shut down the road Tuesday afternoon.
East Buckingham Road from Highway 78 east to Northlake Drive was closed shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday when a contractor struck a gas line.
Officials with ATMOS energy worked to fix the line and the road was back open to traffic just after 8 p.m.
There were no evacuations of any nearby homes.
