Garland Police Officer Involved in Crash While Responding to a Call

A Garland police officer is okay after being involved in a crash while responding to a call.

Investigators say an officer was northbound on Centerville Road at Highway 66 at 4:30 p.m. Sunday with his lights and siren on responding to a call nearby. That's when officers say the driver of a Ford Mustang failed to yield to the officer and the crash happened.

Officers say four people were inside the Mustang at the time. An 8-year-old and a 13-year-old child were both taken to Children's Medical Center of Dallas. A male driver was also taken to the Plano Medical Center. The other person inside the Mustang was not seriously injured. The officer was also okay.
