A Garland police officer hit a Lexus early Thursday morning after the driver of the Lexus ran a red light.
The driver of the Lexus and her passenger, both female, were transported to the hospital after the accident. Their condition is unknown.
Two children, a 13-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy, were in the car with the officer. The girl was taken to the hospital with a broken ankle. It is unconfirmed whether the officer was in a personal car or a police vehicle.
