Frisco StarFest Canceled Amid Fears of West Nile Virus

The threat of West Nile virus has prompted a popular Frisco event to cancel this month's outing.

The Frisco Star Fest is a public astronomy event co-sponsored by the Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas and the Frisco Parks Department held the second Saturday of every month at Frisco Commons Park.

Due to the rise in West Nile virus cases in humans in North Texas, organizers decided to cancel this month's gathering.

More information on the group and future star-watching parties can be found on their Facebook page.
