Frisco Robbery Suspect is “Person of Interest” in The Colony Store Clerk Murder: Police

A man suspected of robbing a Frisco convenience store at gunpoint Wednesday is also a "person of interest" in the murder of a store clerk in The Colony, police said Friday.

Frisco police officers were first called at about 4 p.m. Thursday to the Snap E. Jack Texaco station in the 8700 block of Main Street, where they said a man pointed a gun at a clerk and demanded money before running out of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police later identified the man as 19-year-old Deon Kingston, and he was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, officials said.

The Colony police said Kingston is "a person of interest" in the murder of Samira Siwakoti. The 31-year-old mother of two was gunned down at the Rapido Convenience Store June 10.

Kingston is being transferred to the Collin County Jail. The Colony police will work with Frisco detectives to determine if Kingston is connected to Siwakoti's murder.
