Frisco Family Details Violent Break-In, Police Search for Intruders

A Frisco family is sharing the harrowing story of how masked men armed with guns broke into their home while they were asleep Tuesday.

The homeowners — who will remain anonymous — said they had just returned home from a month-long trip overseas and were sleeping when a group of masked men woke them up, pointed a gun at them and demanded money and jewelry.

"This is a very safe neighborhood," said the female homeowner. "Frisco is a very safe city to live in, so something like this is really terrifying."

One of the men clubbed the male homeowner on the head with the gun. They eventually tied up the couple and forced them into a bathroom.

"They took everything," said the female homeowner. "They took all my jewelry, they took all the cash we had, they went into the kids' rooms upstairs. But thankfully they didn't hurt us."

Police said they don't believe this was a random break-in and that the masked men specifically targeted this house.

"In our [Pakistani] culture, we do wear a lot of jewelry and stuff like that for weddings, so maybe they knew that," said the female homeowner. "We did not have time to go to the bank and put everything away before they came. So maybe they did target us. Maybe they knew something."

Frisco police asked anyone with information about this crime to call them at 972-292-6010 or send an anonymous tip by texting FRISCOPD followed by the tip to 847411.
