Fourth of July Fireworks Light Up North Texas

Fourth of July celebrations have wrapped up for another year, and one of the largest events in North Texas was Fort Worth's Fourth at Panther Island Pavilion.

NBC 5 is a proud sponsor of the event on the banks of the Trinity River north of downtown.

Thousands of people started arriving Tuesday afternoon for live music, tubing on the river and more family fun.

The main event, however, was the fireworks show, which started at 10 p.m. and lasted nearly 30 minutes.

The fireworks were put on by a company called Extreme Pyrotechnics, based in Mansfield.
