Police said they arrested a driver after a brief chase in a vehicle that caught fire in Fort Worth Friday morning.
Fort Worth police said they saw the vehicle travelling on the wrong side of a road at about 5 a.m. Officers tried to stop the vehicle and the driver fled.
Police said the driver crashed shortly after near the intersection of North Beach Street and Shiver Road.
The driver was conscious after the crash, according to authorities. Officers took him into custody without issue and he was transported to a hospital for evaluation.
Car began burning after everyone was safely away, police said.
