A former San Antonio high school science teacher has been sentenced to 17 years in federal prison for using a cellphone to record himself having sex with a 15-year-old student.
A judge handed down the sentence to 45-year-old Marcus Revilla on Monday without the possibility for parole. He pleaded guilty in June to producing child pornography.
The former Memorial High School teacher says the improper relationship began in 2013. He resigned in March.
Revilla says his actions were stupid and that he "fell in love" with the victim.
