Flower Mound Man Pleads Guilty in Child Porn Case

A Flower Mound man accused of trying to buy a 9-year-old girl to have sex with her has pleaded guilty to a federal child pornography charge.

Prosecutors said 50-year-old Kevin Moake pleaded guilty Tuesday in Dallas to possession of child pornography.

Moake, who faces a maximum 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, will be sentenced April 13. Moake also must register as a sex offender.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said Moake admitted driving to a Dallas fast-food restaurant in May 2007 for what he thought was an attempt to buy a girl to have sex with her.

Moake was arrested in the undercover investigation. Prosecutors said the girl does not exist.

Moake still faces charges in Dallas County related to the sting.

Federal authorities said a laptop computer in his vehicle had more than 600 images of child pornography.
