One Injured in 2-Alarm Fire at Dallas Apartments

Authorities said firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at a three-story apartment building in Dallas Monday morning.

Dallas firefighters said they responded to a call at the Park Ninety Six 90 apartments in the 9600 block of Forest Lane at about 3:30 a.m.

Firefighters said they immediately called for a second alarm as they worked to control the fire.

One person was transported to a hospital with burns, but firefighters said the victim is expected to be OK.

No firefighters were injured.

Officials said the fire started on the ground floor, spreading to the second floor. Eight units were damaged in the fire and four more were damaged by smoke and water.

Forest Lane was shut down near the apartments for at least an hour.
