Authorities said a fire destroyed playground equipment at a Haltom City elementary school Monday night.
Haltom City Fire Department spokesman Fred Knapp said firefighters responded to West Birdville Elementary School in the 3000 block of Layton Avenue at 9:30 p.m.
Firefighters arrived and found playground equipment on fire, according to Knapp. The equipment had not yet been installed.
Fire did not spread to any structures, authorities said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
