An adult and a child are dead following an overnight fire in Cresson.
Johnson County firefighters were called to a home on the 200 block of Skyline Court at about 2 a.m.
Officials said Friday morning that a woman, age 31, and a child, age 13, died as a a result of the fire. Their identities and relationship has not been released.
Public Information Officer at Johnson County Sheriff's Office Aaron Pitts said that a 37 year-old-man was taken to Harris Methodist Hospital for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The Texas State Fire Marshal's Office is heading an ongoing investigation.
