Residents of a Lewisville apartment building were evacuated Sunday morning after a fire broke out on the second floor.
The fire at the Huntington Circle Apartments on W. Round Grove Road was contained to one apartment on the second floor, according to Lewisville Fire Department Chief Tim Tittle.
There was a heavy fire visible when the first unit arrived on the scene, officials said. A second unit was called, but the first unit was able to quickly extinguish the flames.
Tittle said the residents of the apartment that caught fire were at church at the time and that residents in nearby units were evacuated.
