An abandoned mattress led to a semi-truck catching fire on northbound on I-35E in Dallas Saturday afternoon.
Dallas Fire Rescue crews said other drivers on I-35E first noticed the mattress stuck under the semi-truck and quickly alerted the driver.
The driver pulled over near the Northwest Highway exit and tried to remove the mattress from under his truck, but it quickly caught fire and then spread to the truck.

Firefighters were forced to shut down the entire highway for a while as they extinguished the flames.
All lanes of I-35E reopened shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday.
No one was hurt in the fire.
