Investigators say a convicted sex offender and gang member on the Texas 10 Most Wanted list has been captured in Dallas.
The Texas Department of Public Safety on Friday announced the arrest of 37-year-old Jahmar Nykel Young of Dallas.
Authorities say a tip led officers to conduct a traffic stop Wednesday.
Young was driving the vehicle. Young was wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, parole violation, failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements, plus larceny.
Records show Young in 2001 was convicted of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
He was paroled in 2014 and had been wanted since last May.
Officials say the tipster will receive a reward of up to $7,500.
