The father told police his 16-year-old daughter was in a black Chevrolet Impala and that he was following the driver.

The Texas Department of Public Safety found the chase in their helicopter just before midnight Thursday and followed the driver of the Impala and the girl's father.

During the pursuit, the Impala was involved in a minor crash, according to authorities. The man's daughter exited the Impala and then the driver left.

The Impala driver later stopped near the intersection of Eugene and Atlanta streets. At that point, state troopers and deputies with the Dallas County Sheriff's Office caught up to the chase on the ground and took a male and female that were in the Impala into custody.

Thursday afternoon, the Texas DPS identified the pair as Myron Williams and Deanna Nimmo. Both are being held in the Dallas County Jail on a charge of harboring a runaway child with a $15,000 bond.

Police said it's possible that the daughter knew the people in the car, but they're still investigating.

No injuries were reported.
