A fatal crash in southern Fort Worth closed multiple southbound lanes of Interstate 35W during rush hour on Wednesday.
The crash occured just before 5 p.m. just south of Ripy Street.
Fort Worth police said MedStar confirmed that one person was killed in the crash.
Fort Worth police said vehicles were blocking traffic at the scene of the crash. Only one lane was getting by, and traffic stretched back to downtown Fort Worth during the evening commute.
Chopper 5 saw significant damage to one white car that appeared to have run into the rear of an 18-wheeler.
