Farmers Branch Council Member Indicted for Theft

Farmers Branch Mayor Pro-Tem Jeff Fuller has been indicted and accused of stealing cash.

A Dallas County grand jury handed up the indictment Wednesday morning.

It accuses Fuller, whose full name is Floyd Jeffrey Fuller, of stealing between $500 and $1,500 in cash from the city.

The indictment accused Fuller of obtaining the money "by virtue of (his) status as a public servant" but offers no other details.

Fuller could not be immediately reached for comment. Harting declined to discuss the charge when contacted by NBC 5.

The Dallas Morning News reported Fuller planned to resign, but city spokesman Tom Bryson said he hadn't yet done so. If convicted, Fuller faces up to two years in jail.

Fuller, a former city employee, was elected in May 2012.
