A teacher and coach in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District has surrendered to face a charge of sexual assault of a child, officials say.
Cornelius A. Smith, an educator at Euless Junior High School, was arrested on a Euless Police Department warrant.
Additional information about the case was not released Friday evening.
The case has been filed with the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office, police said.
