A pickup truck driver was killed after he lost control and crashed on Fairway Drive in Grapevine Monday morning.[[380516651,R]]
At about 5:20 a.m., the driver was heading south over the Lake Grapevine dam when he lost control and struck the concrete barrier near the spillway, said Robert Eberling, Grapevine police spokesman.
The roadway was closed over several hours as investigators worked the crash site.
Fairway Drive was recently reopened after crews finished repairs on a soil slide on the spillway.
