Dallas Police Issues Critical Alert for Missing Teen Girl

The Dallas Police Department is asking for help in locating a critically missing teen girl.

Alejandra Gonzalez, 18, who disabled with special needs, has not been seen since she left Sunset High School unsupervised on April 23. 

At the time she was wearing blue, striped basketball shorts, a blue T-shirt and navy Nike shoes. The teen is Hispanic, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

A family friend said the girl has the mentality of a child.

The teen may have been spotted in the West End area of Dallas.

The Dallas Morning News reports this isn't the first time the teen has run away from home.  In September 2011 the girl made headlines after leaving home just months after disappearing for several days.

Anyone who has seen the girl is asked to call 911 or the Dallas Police Department at 214-671-4268.
