DNT Closing Multiple Ramps Next Week

This one might take a toll on your early morning or late night drive next week.

The Dallas North Tollway is planning a few closures and construction projects this weekend and throughout next week.

On Saturday at midnight, the DNT is closing its I-635 ramp from 12 to 8 a.m. for maintenance.

DNT officials said the northbound ramp to westbound I-635 closure is necessary for guardrail repairs. There will be signs all over the road to warn the unsuspecting drivers about the construction.

Bigger and more widespread closures are taking place from July 5 to 8 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The direct-connector ramp from President George Bush Turnpike to northbound DNT will be closed.

The North Texas Tollway Authority is also closing two northbound DNT right lanes from Haverwood Lane to Park Boulevard.

The NTTA recommends a detour to northbound DNT from east- and westbound PGBT:

“Motorists will exit PGBT at Midway Road and turn north on Midway Road to Park Boulevard. Motorists will then take a right onto Park Boulevard and follow Park Boulevard to northbound Dallas Parkway, where they will turn left to enter the DNT.”

An additional lane will be added to the ramps connecting the DNT with PGBT along with the DNT main lanes between the PGBT and Sam Rayburn Tollway.
