With summer quickly approaching, it’s time to start looking for summer activities for your kids.
On Saturday, Dallas ISD along with Dallas City of Learning hosted the Discover Summer Resource Fair at Mount Auburn Elementary School.
The event featured more than 100 different summer programs for parents and students to learn about.
“Instead of having the students sitting at home and doing nothing because they don’t know about opportunity, my idea is “What’s your plan for this summer? Are you going to a library, park, learning to swim? And so this is the time, a one-stop shop, to go out and see what there is,” said Crystal Rentz, director of summer learning and extended day service for Dallas ISD.
The event also had free health screenings and immunizations, as well as immigration information.
