DFW Ranks 8th with Energy-Efficient Buildings

The Environmental Protection Agency said Dallas-Fort Worth ranks eighth in the country for metro areas with energy-efficient buildings.

The EPA ranked the cities according to the number of buildings that earned an Energy Star rating by the end of 2009.

Houston was tops among Texas cities at No. 6, with 133 buildings. DFW had 113 locations.

Nationally, Los Angeles topped the list with 293 Energy Star buildings.
