Theft Suspect Slips Up on Slick Arlington Road, Police Swoop in for Arrest

Arlington police in pursuit of a suspected jewelry thief Tuesday morning got a little help from Mother Nature.A man walked into a pawn shop in the 800 block of East Pioneer Parkway around 10 a.m., police spokesman Steven Bartolotta said. He smashed a glass display display case and grabbed jewelry, then ran out to his car.A nearby police officer saw a man fleeing the pawn shop and gave chase down Collins Street. About a mile into the pursuit, the man's car spun out and hit a fire hydrant after going through a puddle near East Mayfield Road.  Continue reading...
