The Denton Police Department is investigating a shooting near Mack Park Monday evening.[[420955163, R]]
A man called 911 around 5:45 pm Monday evening stating that he had been shot in the woods near the park.
Paramedics took the man to Denton Regional Medical Center where he is recovering and being interviewed by officers.
During the 911 call, the man said he was shot by a man wearing a ski mask, a black hoodie, black jeans and Nike shoes. He then saw the gunman run off into the woods.
Police officers searched the entire area on the ground and by air, and they are confident that the gunman is no longer in the area.
