Three Denton high school proms will have to wait to dance the night away, thanks to the swine flu.
Denton, Ryan and Guyer High Schools in Denton have pushed prom back a few weeks until the swine flu problem blows over.
"We're very fortunate the kids are very accepting of the change, and I think they know it's in the best interest that we do make that change." said Denton HS Principal Darrell Muncy.
Muncy said he was worried what parents and students would say, especially since prom isn't a cheap affair.
"Three, four, five hundred dollar dresses and tuxedo rentals and then of course you have the limos." Muncy said.
One student didn't seem to mind: Mandy Muncy. The Denton High senior said it should give more time for students to plan.
"If girls haven't gotten their prom dresses yet, they should have a couple more weeks now." Mandy said.

Denton and Ryan HS prom is now Saturday, May 23rd. Guyer High will have their prom on May 29th. All proms will be held at their originally planned locations.
