The 47-year-old co-founder of the N9NE Group has been found dead in Aspen, Colo., in what authorities believe is a suicide.

Aspen police say Scott DeGraff was found in a car inside a garage Thursday morning after reports that a carbon monoxide alarm was going off.

DeGraff launched the N9NE Group with childhood friend Michael Morton in 1999.

The pair designed Ghostbar Dallas at the W Hotel. N9NE Steakhouse, also in Victory Park, closed in February 2009 due to slow traffic to the restaurant and lackluster sales.

The two collaborated to start restaurants in Chicago and Las Vegas, pools at The Palms resort-casino in Las Vegas, and venues including Playboy and Rain nightclubs.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports DeGraff lately had been at the losing end of several lawsuits, most recently in October.

Morton tells the Las Vegas Sun that DeGraff was one of the most creative and dynamic people he ever knew.
