Dallas police said one man is dead and another is on the run after a suspected robbery attempt in South Dallas Wednesday. [[312664181,L]]
Officers and medics were called about 4:30 p.m. to the area near Elsie Faye Heggins Street and Todd Street, just south of Scyene Road.
Investigators said the victim shot one of the robbers. The identity of the man who was fatally shot has not yet been released.
The other man fled the area and remains at large. Police have not released his description.
