Dallas May Sell Naming Rights Of Cotton Bowl

City hopes to earn up to $10 million with sale

The city of Dallas is hoping to score big bucks by selling the naming rights to the Cotton Bowl.

On Wednesday, city leaders agreed to the sell the name of stadium though the director of Fair Park said the naming deal could take years.

In all, the officials hope to earn betweem $5 million and $10 million for a 10-year contract to name both the Midway in Summer and the stadium.

The stadium, which recently received a $57 million facelift, was built in 1930.
