Police were serving a search warrant at a home in Wheatley Place in the 2700 block Lenway Street at about 3:30 p.m. when gunshots were heard inside the house.

The officers retreated and requested back up at the scene, and police said multiple individuals who had been inside the house began running outside.

The people were immediately detained by the officers, but they could not determine at the time whether anyone was still inside the house.

The Dallas SWAT team then responded and established a perimeter around the house. At approximately 9:40 p.m. the SWAT officers searched the house and found nobody still inside.

There have been no arrests made, and nobody was injured in the gunfire.

At least one weapon was recovered from the house, police said.

The investigation continues, and further details have not been released.
