Dallas police are looking for the gas station robbers who pistol-whipped a man while he filled up his gas tank.
Ramiro Arriago, a 33-year-old husband and father of two, was robbed at a 7-Eleven in the 10900 block of Harry Hines Boulevard early on the morning of Aug. 31.
Newly released surveillance video shows a man and a woman approach Arriago at the gas pump.
Arriago said the man pistol-whipped him and forced him to the ground. The woman then rifled through his pockets and stole his cellphone and a $100 bill. The robbers got into a maroon, newer-model Pontiac that was driven by another woman.
Arriago, a mechanic in Dallas, still has a gash on his head where he was struck with the gun. He said he will never return to that 7-Eleven and is still scared the robbers may return and try and kill him.
Police said they believe the same people may have robbed another man walking in an apartment complex in North Dallas on Sunday night. In that case, a 34-year-old man was robbed in the parking lot of his apartment complex in the 13600 block of Maham Road.
The description of the robbers and the getaway car are very similar in both cases.
