Dallas Police Return to Scene of Officer-Involved Shooting

Dallas police have returned to the area where an Arlington police officer was shot at about dawn Thursday.

Officers were called to the 2700 block of Wilbur Street again Friday for an unspecified reason and it is not known if the call is related to the shooting the day before.

On Thursday, an Arlington police officer working with a multi-departmental task force was shot while trying to make an arrest.  The officer, whose name is being withheld because he works in a covert capacity, is in good spirits and expected to survive his injury.

On Friday morning, Arlington police announced the arrest of the suspected shooter, Edgar Solarzano.

More information about Solarzano is expected to be released during a press conference Friday afternoon.
