Dallas Police Release Sketch of Assault Suspect

Police released a sketch of a man believed to be responsible for at least two attacks in Dallas in February on McCree and Jupiter roads.

McCree Road Attack

Dallas police said a woman was walking in the courtyard of her apartment complex in the 11440 block of McCree Road at about 10:50 p.m. Feb. 12 when a man grabbed her mouth and nose.

The woman screamed and fought, causing them to fall to the ground. Police said the man ran away toward Jupiter Road when a neighbor heard the screams and came to help.

The man was described as black, 30- to 33-years-old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and stocky with black curly hair. Police said he was wearing all black clothing at the time of the attack.

Jupiter Road Attack

About 15 minutes later, police said a woman was walking in the parking lot of the Villas at La Risa Apartments in the 12800 block of Jupiter Road when a man grabbed her from behind.

The man pulled her behind a dumpster and pushed her to the ground while choking her and covering her mouth. The woman screamed and kicked until the man ran away.

The victim told police the man was wearing black coveralls, but could not provide a more detailed description.

Police said they're working to determine if the offenses are related.
