A Dallas Police officer is facing family violence assault charges after being arrested on Saturday.
Investigators say Sr. Cpl. Charles Jones became involved in an argument with his wife while the two were driving. The reports states that Jones then committed an assault against his wife. The two then drove to DPD headquarters and told officers on duty what happened.
Jones was arrested and taken to the Dallas County Jail.
Sr. Cpl. Jones has been placed on administrative leave pending an internal affairs investigation. he was assigned to the Crimes Against Persons Division and has been with the department since 2002.
