Dallas police released details on the arrest of a man caught with stolen property.
At 11:35 p.m., Police received a call regarding a prowler in the 9700 block of Dale Crest Drive on Aug 6. Officers arrived to find a man who matched the description given, walking around in the parking lot.
As police spoke to the man, identified as Jose Garcia, 31, he tried to hide a car stereo under his shirt.
Police said Garcia was a known gang member and had a history of burglaries. Garcia also had a flat-head screwdriver which was suspected of being used in vehicle burglaries.
Garcia was arrested and later admitted to burglarizing a vehicle, police said. The stolen property was returned.
