Dallas police are investigating a series of business robberies that may be connected.

Four robberies were reported in the past month involving two men who broke in during the early morning hours and hid inside until employees arrived.

Once the employees arrived to the businesses, the men took cash or property at gunpoint, police said.

The robberies were reported at the following locations, according to Dallas police: Dec. 20 at Family Dollar on the 3200 block of West Northwest Highway; Dec. 31 at Ace Cash on the 18100 block of Midway Road; Jan. 11 Family Dollar on the 4400 block of West Kiest Boulevard; Jan. 19 at Family Dollar on the 8500 block of South Polk Street.

The suspects were described as black men, wearing dark clothing, dark masks and gloves. In two of the robberies, surveillance video captured images of getaway vehicles. The vehicles were a tan or pewter-color late 1990s model Nissan Altima with minor front-end damage and a tan-color Chevrolet Tahoe SUV.

Anyone with information on these robberies is asked to call investigators at 214-671-3584 or Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS (8477).
