Dallas police say a man is in critical condition after he was shot by a SWAT officer Thursday evening when he pulled out a gun on police.[[417736773,R]]
Police said they were serving a narcotics warrant at a home on the 3000 block of Clydedale Drive at about 8:40 p.m. when they were confronted by a man holding a gun.
One officer fired at the man, striking him, police said.
The man, identified Friday as 22-year-old Dominique Holligan, was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital.
No officers were injured.
Police said the officer who shot Holligan is Senior Corporal Jason Willis, a member of the Dallas Police SWAT Unit.
The incident remains under investigation, police said Friday.
