The body of a Dallas man missing since Monday morning has been recovered in the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, Carrollton police say.[[385751541,R]]
Vanoris Horton, 27, was found deceased Wednesday near the intersection of President George Bush Turnpike and Belt Line Road.
Officials said Horton had been missing since about 4 a.m. Monday when he called his girlfriend and said he needed a ride. In order to get to the road, he tried taking a short cut and crossed the river but was swept away.
Police said evidence indicates Horton accidentally drowned.
