Someone opened fire on the interstate early Friday morning, hitting a passenger in another car.
Just before 5 a.m. a woman riding in the passenger seat of a car was shot near the intersection of Interstate 20 and Spur 408, Dallas police said.
The bullet ripped through the car's passenger door before hitting the woman in the leg as they drove along the ramp from westbound I-20 to northbound 408.
The woman was transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries and is expected to be OK.
At this time, police have not released the names of any suspects or revealed any possible motive in the shooting.
The shooting was one of several reported overnight across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
