Dallas Disc Jockey Found Not Guilty of Sex Assault

A Dallas radio disc jockey says he's relieved after a jury found him not guilty of multiple sex crimes.

Six years ago, Anthony Salvatori was accused of raping a 14-year-old girl back in 1999 when he worked at KISS-FM.

Salvatori denied any sex took place, but did admit to kissing a girl he thought was 18.

Salvatori wanted to speak with NBC 5 after the jury acquitted him last Friday.

"It was a true feeling of relief when this burden was lifted from me and form the life of my kids and wife, they were my main concern," Salvatori said. "Professionally there are no words for the support and love I've received from my company through all this."

Salvatori currently uses the name Tony Lopez as an afternoon disc jockey for Christian radio station KLTY.

A civil lawsuit against Salvatori is still pending.
