Dallas Cowboys Offensive Line Team Up with Ford to Renovate Firehouse

Ford, Leary Foundation donate renovation, truck and $50,000 to Dallas Fire-Rescue

The Dallas Cowboys offensive line partnered with Ford, Fox Sports and The Leary Foundation to renovate a Dallas firehouse in need of repair -- just in time to watch the Cowboys face the Redskins on Thanksgiving Day.

Lineman Doug Free, Ronald Leary, Travis Frederick, Tyron Smith and Zack Martin were given a tour of Fire Station 43 before assisting in the demolition and remodel of the firehouse.

"A team of home makeover experts performed a whirlwind renovation of Fire Station 43 in northwest Dallas. The crews demolished and rebuilt the station's kitchen, dining area and living room in just under 72 hours, with the remaining work to bedrooms and the station's workout room to follow," organizers said in a prepared statement.

In a video supplied by Ford Trucks, the starting offensive linemen from the Dallas Cowboys - just named Built Ford Tough Offensive Line of the Week for the second time this season - welcome the firefighters back to the firehouse after helping with the demolition and final touches.

The firefighters will now be able to use their new kitchen and dining area for their Thanksgiving Day meal -- and of course to watch America's Team take the field Thanksgiving Day.

Actor Denis Leary capped off the event by delivering a 2017 Ford Super Duty to the firehouse on behalf of Ford and $50,000 worth of equipment donated on behalf of the Leary Foundation.

"Today and every day, we're grateful to the firefighters of Fire Station 43, and to firefighters across the country for their courage and bravery," said Leary. "The Leary Firefighters Foundation is proud to team up with Ford to provide Dallas with much needed equipment, and to support the men and women who risk their lives to keep us safe."

Founded in 2000, after a fire in Leary's native Worcester, Massachusetts, took the life of his cousin and five other firefighters, Leary Firefighters Foundation provides funding and resources for fire departments to acquire the best available equipment, technology and training necessary for the health and safety of firefighters and, in turn, the public they serve. To date, the foundation has raised more than $10 million for fire departments across the country.

As Official Truck of the National Football League, Ford celebrates the toughest players each week with the Built Ford Tough Offensive Line of the Week selected by Shaun O'Hara.

Of course, the Dallas Cowboys and Ford have a strong partnership. The team's new headquarters in Frisco is named Ford Center at The Star and Ford is producing a limited-edition Dallas Cowboys F-150 pickup truck.
