Dallas Cowboys' No. 1 Fan: ‘We Will Be Back'

Ms. Price is confident a Super Bowl will be in Cowboys' future

The No. 1 Dallas Cowboys' fan said she was devastated by Sunday night's playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers, but – speaking for Dallas fans everywhere – vowed, "We will be back."

Carolyn Price, of Lancaster, is better known simply as "Ms. Price" – the Cowboys' top fan.

For years, nobody has screamed more or louder for the Cowboys than the Lancaster home health care executive who also is a great-grandmother.

Going into Sunday's game, she said she was confident "that we would win," she said.

Her confidence never wavered, even with the Cowboys down in the first half by a score of 21-3.

"I never budge," she said. "I've seen them come back from more than that, so that didn't bother me. We had two more quarters."

Ms. Price never loses faith.

When Dallas fought back and tied it up – twice – she had a hard time breathing.

"'I'm ecstatic now. I'm about to pass out,'" she recalled on Monday.

When the Packers kicked the game-winning field goal with three seconds left, her face told the story of Cowboy fans everywhere.

She couldn't hold back the tears, she said.

But she said she is optimistic about the future.

"I'm going to tell you, it's going to be alright," she said. "We're going back again. We're not leaving the party yet. We will be back. We're just standing outside for a break."

Even though Dallas won't be a part of the Super Bowl this year, she has confidence it'll happen one year soon.

"And when we walk out and hold that trophy again, I pray I'm standing there," she said. "And I know Dak and them, I know they'll do it."

Then, she said she might retire as the team's No. 1 fan.

"But I'll still be sitting at home, saying, 'How 'bout those Cowboys!'" she yelled.
